Plate setter setup on a large egg


You want to insure you have a full load
of lump. Fill it all the way to the top of
the firebox.

You place the plate setter directly on top
of the firering, legs up in this case. If you
were doing pizza you would want the setter
legs down.

I use disposable foil pans as drip pans, you
can use whatever you prefer.

Next you see the main grid set on the feet of the
plate setter, and in this example, a raised grid from
BGE is installed to elevate you cooking level
higher into the dome.

Here you will see the same setup without the
raised grid, and a V rack placed on the main grid.
In this example the V rack is upside down to be used
as a rib rack.
